CrimeHawk Privacy Policy

CrimeHawk ("we," "us," or "our") respects the privacy of our users ("you" or "your"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose information in connection with your use of our mobile application, CrimeHawk (the "App").

We collect the following information when you use the App:

Information You Provide Directly

• Account Information: When you sign in using Google, we collect your name, surname, email address, and a unique user ID (UID) provided by Firebase.

• Content:Any content you post in the Communities feature, including text and images.

• Crime Reports:Information about crimes you report, which can be done anonymously or with your name.

Device Information

Device model, operating system version, unique device identifier, and IP address.

Usage Information

 Features accessed, searches performed, and the time and duration of your use.

Location Information

We use your current location to report crimes in the precincts you are in. This location data is used on your device and is not stored by us.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To provide and operate the App, including displaying crime statistics relevant to your location.

• To process your subscription and manage your account.

• To respond to your inquiries and requests.

• To improve the App and develop new features.

• To personalize your experience with the App.

• To comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

3. Sharing Your Information

We may share your information with third-party service providers who help us operate the App, such as cloud storage providers and data analytics providers. We will only share your information with these providers to help us provide you with the best experience on the app.

We may also share your information with law enforcement or other government agencies if we are required to do so by law.

We will not share your personally identifiable information with third-party advertisers without your consent.

4. Your Choices

You can control your privacy settings within the App. You can choose to:

• Enable or disable location services.

You can also delete your account at any time.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage is ever completely secure. We cannot guarantee the security of your information.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 12. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 12. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

7. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on the App.
